The long awaited playground at Millers Glen will finally be unveiled on March 3rd.
The facility which will include a playground, basketball court/five-a-side pitch, and a GAA pitch will be offically opened by Ministerfor Housing and Local Government Darragh O’Brien on Friday March 3rd.
This new play/sports area, which is designed to cater for many age groups, has been delivered as part of the Millers Glen development. It includes a playground, a multi-use games area (MUGA) that includes a basketball court and five-a-side football pitch, as well as a GAA pitch and changing facilities.
Cllr Ian Carey said:
“It’s really fantastic to see this new facility finally opening. I know that many residents have been frustrated by delays and the fact that it appears to have been ready for some time but I’m glad now that the developer and the council have agreed an opening date.
“It will be of huge benefit to the local area and all of north Swords. It will also give much needed facilities to our local clubs.”
