Roadworks, linked to the development of Metrolink, will take place over the next week along the Swords bypass (R132).
Resurfacing works will progress along the R132 over the week reducing the number of lanes as it is carried out.
On November 1st the Seatown Roundabout will be reduced to a stop/go and traffic disruption should be expected on that day.
The contractor on the works sent the following update:
Please see below lookahead for road resurfacing works starting during the school midterm on 31st Oct. As discussed previously we will be putting up 2 VMS [Variable Message Signs] signs either end of the works.
Note on the 1st Nov we will have Seatown roundabout down to Stop/Go similar to at Easter. This time it be for 1 day only. We expect some traffic disruption on this day. Other that that we will be operating on lane closures.
We would hope to be at Malahide Roundabout on 13th – 15th Nov, Avoiding Thursday/Fridays. We will be letting the Pavilions know dates.
We will issue weekly updates as to the progress.
