After 6 years, the Chalk Venue in Swords has announced that it is closing its doors.
In a message on facebook this week the owners said:
“It’s with great sadness that we announce the closure of The Chalk Venue. After a fantastic 6 years making memories we closed our doors for the last time on Easter Sunday to a sellout Live Forever show. We’d like to take a moment to thank all of our amazing customers for your support over the years. See you all in The Schooler.”
Cllr Ian Carey said:
“It’s very sad to see one of the very few venues in Swords close. We are trying to expand the cultural offering in the town and, sadly, this is a set back. I hope the building can find a new life as a venue again.”
